Karla Lenker Massage

Karla is available on an appointment only basis, and can be reached at 231-740-3100. She realizes coming to someone new is a risk, and has chosen to gift half of the first 60-minute session to any new massage therapy recipient. Her normal fees are $35 for 30 minutes on the table, $60 for 60 minutes.

During Karla's former career as a freelance court reporter, she pursued many interests in the area of spirituality, metaphysics and personal growth, including 11 years of BioEnergetic study with John McCormick, which involves body/mind/spirit integration. In the Fall of 1997, she enrolled in the Blue Heron Academy, School of Clinical Massage Therapy in Grand Rapids, and also the Institute of Transformational Hypnotherapy in Lansing, graduating from both institutions in the Spring of 1998, and she has pursued continuing education in various forms since that time, including Reiki II.

In February of 1999, she opened her private practice of massage therapy/hypnotherapy on a part-time basis in Muskegon, Michigan, and as of January 2000, has been in that endeavor full time. From November of 2000 until March of 2002, she worked out of Dr. Leonard Wright's office, Celebrate - A Center for Holistic Healing, where she gained tremendous experience working with Dr. Wright, a holistic-focused medical doctor and acupuncturist. He closed his office after accepting the first full-time Medical Director position with Hospice of Muskegon/Oceana County, and Karla continues to work with him by volunteering massage therapy services for that organization.

She has been on site here at Angel Reflections/Center of Light since April 2002. She has stated often how pleased she is to be a part of the healing energy community here, and we are pleased to have her. She now focuses her practice on massage therapy, while using her hypnotherapy background to assist people in relaxation and breathing techniques. Her massage therapy skills range from very light touch energy work all the way to a deep tissue clinically oriented massage for stress reduction, pain relief and chronic muscle tension release, to help remove toxins, increase circulation, lubricate joints, increase range of motion and remove blocks in overall energy flow, in an environment designed to provide comfort and promote body/mind/spirit health.
